Extra Butter opened our first fast casual seafood restaurant location in Oakland California in March of 2020. Even during such an uncertain time for restaurants, the first Extra Butter location was met with overwhelming popularity. 

2 short weeks after opening, lines of customers wrapped around the block. Luckily thanks to next-gen point of sales technology and a streamlined process, the customers did not have to wait long to be served.

Extra Butter founder David Sifflet, has been able to stay one step ahead of the supply chain challenges.

Born of Saint Lucian parents, Mr. Sifflet is a veteran of the US Navy where he served as a logistics specialist. Mr. Sifflet is also a veteran and founder of 4 successful restaurant concepts prior to opening Extra Butter. Over his lifetime Mr. Sifflet has established personal relationships with the best vendors and providers from around the world.

Mr. Sifflet's relationships have allowed Extra Butter to continue to source and deliver the highest quality Seafood products at the lowest prices, while our competitors are forced to raise prices and settle for lower quality and less consistent products.

In 2021, after the unmatched success and popularity of the first Extra Butter restaurant, we opened our second location in Marin California. In 2021 we began to pursue our national expansion goals, with stores operating or in the process of being opened in North Carolina, Atlanta, Texas and soon Florida. The overwhelming online interest in the Extra Butter concept and system has taken on a life of its own.
